Roasted Figs with Honey
For 4 servings
— Figs: 12
— Honey: 12 tsp.
Recipe
Preheat the oven to 210 °C (410 °F).
Rinse, destem and cut the base of the figs to make them stable.
Nick them in 4 (on the top).
Put in a baking dish
Pour into each fig 1 tsp. honey.
Bake 15-20 min.
(The figs should remain slightly melting)...

At the end of baking you can deglaze the dish with a bit of Banyuls wine or "ruby" port to make a warm sauce.
Select ripe but firm figs. And select a honey not too strong (avoid pine tree honey…).
